  • Hello Aron. Sorry for the accident. I thought you would get faster out of the corner.

So i apologize for my mistake. We had different strategies, i think.

Sad for all other drivers, that would be involved in this accident. :(

@Niel: While trying to get a run on you i ruined my RF. And that´s when i realized you were conserving. Well played, well played. :#

  • First of all, apologies to Johannes for the contact after the last restart. There were two lapped cars and I was setting up the pass and did not expect you wanted to pass me at the same time. I let you by a couple of moments later to make up in because I wasn't sure if it was my fault.

It was an interesting race with the leading driving relatively slow to save tires. I got the tire wear warning in the first stint and I noticed what I was doing wrong. After the first stop, I was able to manage the tires way better.

The last restart was interesting with that long single line and traffic all mixed. :D  Thomas Nolden I was indeed taking it easy in the beginning, but I was wondering why you all were so fast. I started to doubt myself until I noticed the gaps were tipping towards my favour quickly.

P5 is my best VO career finish, so I'm very pleased with that result. Dover is quite the unique track which I needed to figure out in the beginning. After it clicked, it was great. See you all at the next one.

  • Congratulations Marvin A. on the win, I only managed to come up with one run off of two that I might have been able to do something with but got to your bumper too late down the straight to pull out and carry the run into turn three so thought better of sailing it in on you 😁

A disastrous race averted with the luck of a well timed caution. During practice my steering wheel cable started playing silly buggers. It would connect and disconnect taking away (most importantly) my gear shifters. On the initial green I managed to grab third gear but going down into one it disconnected and couldn’t get fourth, managed to give the alert to Aaron who lead the path for others to pass me safely before I managed to get fourth gear, then promptly pulled the cable from the pc so the disconnections and reconnections didn’t make my sim freeze every time the connection was broke.

Started at the back second run as not to clog up the field if I couldn’t get going on the restart. Third restart I lucked out with the jumbled field, rolled down pit road to roll off the restart 3rd on the bottom row so I had space to pull to the apron in case shit hit the fan, turns out I’d have started on the bottom regardless of being second or third 🤷‍♂️

Good fun racing to the checkered, burnt off the tyres a little too much trying to make something work on Marvin who drove a really nice last stint keeping me at bay when I’d have my 5 lap spurts of energy forming an attack.

  • :yeah: Endlich mal wieder gewonnen :jump:

  • Congratulations Marvin A. on the win, I only managed to come up with one run off of two that I might have been able to do something with but got to your bumper too late down the straight to pull out and carry the run into turn three so thought better of sailing it in on you 😁

Thanks bud. When you got off without shifting trouble on the final restart, I knew you'd be a formidable opponent for the rest of the race. I vividly remember the situation you're referring to. I thought I was toast when you had that run and I wasn't going to throw blocks left and right that far from the finish. I then saw you having to back off and told Markus and Micha on Discord "either he had to lift because he was gonna hit the wall or he was too close to pull inside without hitting me". At the end, I was like "if I keep conserving some tires he's gonna get me", so I went as fast as I could and hoped the tires would hold up, which they did.

    Grats Marvin! :D
