  • How stupid can you drinve in Lap 30? Answer: Rafael Asquith
Why? I don't get it. Sidedrafting in Lap 30...

And then staying on the gas , while turning a carin front, thats what killed me....

Not agree with you, just trying to overtake and the car on my right just turn left. this car is the one who leave breaks and send me to the wall. No brake beeing in the accident, watch replay an center the camera in RF wheel, and watch replay again a see hoe he doesn't follow the line whe whe are in parallel. Watch replay......

I just watched and saved replay and this is what I see. And not hte first time that the same driver do the same with me.

You were behind me, pushing me and all were ok, but I think it's my right to try to evertake if I thik that the car in front of me is slower.

Well, I'm stupid trying to overtake and the driver who cause the accident no :)

No problem Frank, even beeing stupid I tried to help you man.

Just one more thing btw, I've seen 3 wide, 4 wide and even a 5 wide in this race, with cars all over the wide of the track and you told me about sidedraft in a two wide situation, it's a joke Frank, where is the camera?

  • Congrats Jose, good win!

I made one mistake on pitroad, that put me from 2nd to 7th.
After that some struggles with being sent 3 wide a couple of times. Just racing, I was being conservative on for T3 entry, while that was not the way some played it. I would get the spots back, but lose a lot of time sadly. Need to work a little bit on the defensive driving.

On the restart lap 123 we had some people on old and some on fresh tires. Recipe for incidents, that I could sadly not avoid. It is so rough for points to finish 31th with late race incidents. But that is a part of racing with a big field of cars.
I was right next to Jakub and Daniel on that lap 123 restart, but not anymore at the finish.

It's a real pity that your race ended that way, as we were all the race managing the tires without attacking, waiting for the green stint but it never came...

If you keep going like this, it's only a matter of time before you get good results!

  • One point I would like to make is that I see several pilots who seem to be unaware or ignorant of the championship rules, in which dibebump is totally forbidden. I don't usually denounce anyone but I think I should do it with these riders so that they learn or review the championship rules.

On the other hand, a great race, always managing tires. If I attacked the driver in front it was because they attacked me from behind, Jakub was always a great rival who didn't make it easy for me to win and Jonas Wallmeier didn't deserve that last yellow flag, in which I couldn't make a last attack. Since then we have had 2 races and in both of them, the yellow flag came out with 100 or 200 metres to go to the white flag.

Your action on lap 75/76 also seems quite intentional. Exiting T4 he (the car on your inside) touches you once and after that you keep turning to the left several times hitting him several times until you turn him.

Well if VO staff can start cussing others in forum I asume we are all allowed :) Let the hunger games begin.

I even had enough fuel for 1 geen white checkered, but ofcourse another caution had to come out...

Let's hope for my first top 20 finish next week.....

  • Erstmal Glüxkwunsch Jose zum Sieg! 🏆

Yellow in 118 verflucht. Am Ende aber genau das was mir mit den 2gwc noch nen gutes Ergebnis gebracht hat.
    Bin zufrieden soweit.

  • I finally have the time so I got around to it. I would like to go back to this race at Michigan and specifically the last overtime restart. When the leader (car #72) launched on the restart, he immediately changed lane and moved up to the outside lane. And even before the S/F line, the second car on the first row (car #3) did the same and moved down to the inside lane in front of me. Everything went unpunished. Why I'm asking? Because then I saw penalties from the race in the Class C Series at Milwaukee and Jonas received a penalty for the same case. I find that confusing. It is clear to me that there is a different Race Control for each series. But then we have this section in the rules.

We have directly in the rules that this is not allowed (Up to the start/finish line, overtaking or leaving the line). I would still understand if this restart situation had to be protested. But in the rules a couple of lines below it is written: Violations of the (re-)start rules can also be penalized without protest. And this is something directly against the rules.

I understand that it isn't possible to examine every situation, but this, in my opinion, is visible at first glance. It had no effect on the outcome of the race, but it's more a matter of principle for me, if someone was punished for this and someone wasn't. I would just like to be clear on this for the future.

I think the anwer is pretty simple. It's probably because nobody send a protest to the stewards (and somebody probably did in the truck race). The stewards pretty much look at cautions and the protests that come in. So if you see someting on the track that is not right, send in a ticket the next day and it will be looked at.

  • I agree with JakubSmetana in that certain situations should be analyzed by default no matter the situation.

I mean: YF and restarts should be analyzed without the need of protesting to have an unified criteria. At least I suppoused it was this way. I do inform those change of lines on restart when I am involved but it's just to simplify stewards job, I assume they do it by default.

On the other hand there are incidents not causing YF that should be reported and end in nothing 'cos those not involved can´t protest them and involved ones do nothing. Its surprising to me how many times this happens.
