2025-12-10 Class C #10 Phoenix Raceway

  • I am car #40.

Before anybody starts telling me I was not letting the leaders pass me, the rule is as following:

"Drivers who are lapped or about to be lapped allow faster drivers on the lead lap speedy, risk-free overtaking".

    Also, there is this:

"When drivers are being lapped, it is proven practice for the slower car to stay on the racing line on the straights, but take the outside line in the turns and let the faster drivers through on the inside".

I was running the high line as everybody was running the bottom. I wasnt trying to block anybody and I just ran my line. I allowed for risk-free overtaking. I dont believe my behaviour should be penalised.

Its not my fault that on this track people cant overtake. It was a boring race with everyone in a line.

Congratulations to everybody on the season. It is a pleasure to race in an environment like this and I am grateful for that.

GG to the winners and to the champion!(both driver and team)

  • Oh Mann, sorry Leute!

  • I had to fight you for the position running 2-wide for about three laps, losing a ton of time in the process. That is neither speedy nor risk-free overtaking.

    Gratz an unsere Czechs. :top:

  • AlexRO95 You did nothing wrong. When I came back from the pits, I had save some fuel, so I wanted to spend some time behind you in the draft.

I thought so because in Quali the leaders were 6 tenths faster then me and I said to myself that if this works for you guys I will keep running the high line until my tyres go as I am still learning to take care of them.

I was running the high line as per regulations. I had to keep decent pace as I had my own race with #6 and he was lapped too and kept up with the leaders. I was trying to keep myself in a position to benefit from a mistake from him but that didnt happen.

Also, I didnt move under braking, didnt touch you and I didnt wave. What did I do so risky? Racing means passing people. I allowed you half the track in every turn.

In any other track you wouldve get past me but Phoenix is the exception.

Its not your fault or mine.

We argue about whether that was within the rules or not. I tend to think so, because your argument about your own race definitely counts.

Whether it was smart is another question. You lost a lot of time to me because of the constant 2-wide racing

  • Congrats Jakub. Flawless Season!

My race was okay yesterday, needed to save some fuel to get to the finish. In the end I was too slow to join the fight between Kelvin and Maik, but could catch up when #40 tried to push himself through as a lapper. Still the result was enough to secure P7 of the Championship just 3 points ahead of Kelvin.

AlexRO95 : Even if this is not against the rules, in my opinion it is completly unnecessary to disturb a fight between leadlap cars to push yourself through as a lapper with less then 10 laps to go. Especially as you were not in need to go through as the car in front and behind you where nowhere near. But this are just my 2-cents from the first-row-seat looking at the situation

I lost a lot of time because I lost the tyres. Its been a struggle this season in every race for me but I never did races so long before.

I did one more pit-stop as I couldnt make it on fuel and I thought the tyre advantage will be enough to move through the field and it was.

The last 18 laps were the most enjoyable of the whole race. I was for half a stint close to the #6 and whoever was in front in the first stint but after that I had little grip. Also I believe it was a really boring race for everyone. Apart from the lap 1 crash there was absolutely nothing the whole race. Everyone following each other and that was about it.

From what I saw in front and behind people were mostly in a line for most of the race so to be able to make moves in the end was a nice way, a nice feeling to end the season.

Definitely I didnt intend to disturb other people but I was a second and a bit quicker then the field as I had new tyres and everyone was on very old rubber. I saw no point in sitting behind and be annoying for whoever was in front of me considering I had way better tyres.
