  • Are you kidding? Just like on Wednesday, another amateur performance from most of the racers. I've been looking forward to this race all year because it's my favorite combo and most of you drove like crazy. You absolutely can't drive this car. Thanks to Daniel Adam for ruining my birthday race day, you drove like a chicken jerk. You absolutely don't know how to drive this car, almost everyone was written off on the long run because they didn't know how to save on tires/fuel.
It got to me when the fuel was running very low, so instead of saving like my brother, you drive like a jerk. Don't you know that you can drive 40-43 laps at Daytona with this car in one fuel tank?
I can't imagine if you did a charity race with Dale JR at Rockingham 508 for 500 miles. You would embarrass yourself so much that it would be better to stop racing on iRacing. There are 50+ cars in Rockignham (1 mile oval!!!!!!!!!) and we can drive more than 100 without a yellow flag. If you were driving this car with JR, it would be yellow after every 25 laps.
After the Xfinity race, I think that more and more amateurs are driving in VO.
And when someone criticizes my driving style, I just drive like you.

  • das hat abartig spass gemacht. meine lieblingskombi! leider hat mir die letzte caution gar nicht in die karten gespielt. mit dem tire-nachteil war ich nur noch nachzügler...

sorry PetrSmetana . i was a little late with the lifting. it wasnt a hard bump but enough to unsettle your car. i gave you all the room to save it but its tough to do.

what i dont understand is that you race like a maniac with laps down to protect your boys. calling out others in the forum as chicken nuggets and then half a week later doing stuff like that leaves a strange impression

Wow. First of all, thank you. It’s not every day someone gets blamed for ruining a birthday, a race, tire management, fuel strategy, race standards, Rockingham history, and the future of iRacing — all in one post. That takes talent. I’m honestly flattered.

I especially enjoyed the part where my driving single-handedly destroyed tire management, fuel strategy, race craft, VO standards, Rockingham history, and apparently the entire future of iRacing. That’s impressive for one car on track. I should put that on my résumé.

The “40–43 laps at Daytona” lecture was a nice touch too. I didn’t know we were racing a spreadsheet, but I’ll be sure to drive Excel next time instead of the car.

Also, imagining me in a 500-mile charity race with Dale Jr. was my favorite section. I love how I’m already embarrassing myself in a hypothetical race that hasn’t happened, at a track we’re not at, with cautions that only exist in your fantasy. That’s elite racecraft — mentally.

And yes, when fuel was low, I drove like me, not like your brother. Bold choice, I know. Almost as bold as judging 50+ drivers, multiple races, and an entire series based on one birthday that didn’t go as planned.

But hey, if my driving inspires you so much that you “just drive like me” when criticized — that might be the nicest compliment in this whole post.

Anyway, happy birthday. Sorry about the race.
Next year I’ll try to ruin it even more consistently — practice makes perfect. 🏁:clown:

  • First of all, congratulations, JakubSmetana , even after almost ruining your race, and I’m also sorry to the other drivers involved.

I feel it was the right strategy, but maybe it wasn’t the best place to push you when we don’t know each other or have never done it before—completely my mistake. I think we could have pulled away, or at least forced the others to burn more fuel and either have to pit or drop back to save.

Kelvin Mace , you can’t say that I’m not familiar with yielding positions or that I don’t drive calmly, because that’s false. I don’t know where you get those arguments from, because as far as I remember I’ve never even had a battle with you. I make mistakes like everyone else because I’m human. I fight for my interests, and if I think there’s a driver who is slower than me and can harm my race, I usually don’t let them through—that’s different. Ask your teammate whether I let him go ahead when he wants to be in front or not.

Also, if you watched the replay and still don’t want to apologize as you said, that’s fine, but the three incidents are the same: the moment we reach the apex of the corner, instead of going down you move up, even though there was room for another car on the inside.

Yves Apology accepted. There were two laps left and the logical thing was to push; you misjudged it and that’s it. No problem at all

  • Carletto7777 All good on my side. No need to apologizes, it happens, especially with these beasts. I was able to save it and continue, the wreck happened a few seconds later, when everything was already fine. Anyway, a nice gesture on the pit road during that caution. :top:

how did you survive that hit on the right rear tire in lap 133? normally this is a race-ending-hit. :D

  • Gabriel At that moment I thought so too. Also I hit the wall with the rear of the car, but in the end, I had a minute and fifty seconds damage if I remember right.

not the wallhit. the #88 hit you when you drove on the apron after you got almost spun by the #3. that hit was very unlucky and normaly ends a race
