Apologies Manu and field, I didn't know #58 hadn't changed tyres and had front end damage. I kept a small margin into the turn, then the truck ahead started scrubbing speed.
To the driver behind it appears as if the driver ahead isn't at full throttle.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

It's easiest for me to reply when nothing has happened yet or when the race is official.
I try to follow a policy of not interfering with a driver's (or another driver's) decision process during the protest and appeal periods.
If a decision is appealed and rejected, I'm obligated to give the appellant the reject:accept votes.
We have an archive of replays and decisions from previous seasons. Unanimously rejected appeals have a 50% penalty point increase.
Some views or rules change over time, some don't. Rule changes are documented in the news at the start of each season.

Lag das eigentlich an meiner Wahrnehmung, und war ein längerer erster Stint deutlich schneller als in Lap 33 rein zu gehen?
Kann ich nicht genau sagen. Die Strecke könnte sich minimal verbessern.
Manchmal geht es aber auch einfach darum, alleine fahren zu können. Das spricht manchmal auch für den Undercut. Bei Nigel und Frank vB hat es super geklappt.
Das Setup kann eine Rolle spielen. Sind alle Autos tight, mach ich dem Vorausfahrenden das Auto nur besser, wenn ich auflaufe.
Manche Strecken haben einen frühen, starken Drop-off und dann keinen mehr. In so einem Fall würde ich auch lieber nicht erst gegen Ende des Stints wieder die Positionen tauschen wollen. Bisschen Delta braucht man schon.
Schnelle In-/Out-Runden helfen immer.

Ich wüsste wirklich gerne, wie man den Wagen fahren muss, um schnell zu sein ohne die Hinterreifen zu verbrennen.
Für den Longrun half mir, Wärme von den Bremsen vorn zu haben. (Oder eher umgekehrt: kühlere Bremsen hinten.) Mit den Bremszylindern 13/16 und 1 kam 66,8% raus, wenn 56% eingestellt war.
Ansonsten clean air, früh enge Linie, dosiertes Gasgeben.

I've seen this type of incident a couple of times in the seasons I've been officiating, albeit with less of a gap between the cars to start with in most cases.
The NextGen at first wasn't as bad as the 550 Gen6.
I haven't seen Kelvin's replay, but I'm quite certain that Kelvin's actual steering inputs and those that iRacing transmitted to my replay are close.
Kelvin also is a driver that understands that one needs to stay in line with other cars to move to the front. He's not the kind of guy that does desperate moves at any point in a race.
To put it into perspective, I can't remember seeing him cut the apron at Atlanta and wreck in T1.

Pit-Out betreffend hat sich nichts geändert. Da gilt wie bisher bspw. Regel 4.5.
Falls nach dem Big One in der B-Pro ein Protest gegen deinen Pit-Out fehlte, nehm ich das auf mich. ^^
