In der VO gibt es gewisse Verhaltensregeln, die zum Teil nicht explizit im Regelwerk festgehalten wurden. Diese Regeln sind eher allgemein gültig und sollten daher weitestgehend mit allen Ligen identisch sein.
Einfache Tipps für saubere Rennen:
- Bitte lest die VO-Regeln auf unsere Homepage sorgfältig durch!
- Pass clean: Nur überholen, wenn sich eine eindeutige Situation ergibt und genügend Platz für beide Fahrer vorhanden ist!
- Keine Kamikaze-Starts!: Beim Start oder Restart nicht versuchen das ganze Feld auf einmal zu überholen! Ist der Vordermann langsam, hat das den Grund, dass vor ihm das Feld nur langsam auf Renntempo kommt bzw. vor ihm kein Platz ist. Das wird nicht besser, wenn man selbst da auch noch reindrückt.
- Vordermann beobachten: In einem Rennen ist es nicht wichtig gleich in den ersten paar Runden Plätze gut zu machen. Geduld! Irgendwann macht der Vordermann einen Fehler oder seine Reifen bauen ab, dann ist Zeit ihn sauber zu überholen!
- Respekt vor den anderen Fahrern: Nicht bei jedem Überholmanöver auf Teufel komm raus dagegenhalten. Vielleicht hat der Hintermann bessere Reifen oder ist aus einem anderen Grund einfach schneller. Akzeptiert das und macht ihm Platz (das gilt vor allem in der uninteressanten Anfangsphase eines Rennens!). Lieber einmal mehr zurückstecken, als einmal zu wenig.
- Respekt vor den anderen Fahrern: Unfälle und brenzlige Situationen passieren einfach. Wer danach aber direkt laut wird und andere Fahrer beleidigt, kann noch so unschuldig sein, es wirkt sich niemals positiv aus. Jeder sollte andere so behandeln, wie er selber behandelt werden soll. Im Zweifel den Frust runter schlucken, eine Nacht warten und sich dann noch einmal Gedanken machen. Respektlosigkeit wird in der VO nicht geduldet.
Was man besser machen kann? Replay speichern und sich in aller Ruhe die Szene noch einmal angucken. Selbst wenn man nicht Schuld ist, kann man lernen, wie man solche Situationen vermeidet und so mit einem heilen Fahrzeug das Rennen beendet. Zur Not lasst auch mal jemand anderen über die Szene schauen und ihn möglichst objektiv über den Vorfall urteilen.
- Bedenkt, wie es euch in anderen Serien gehen würde: Was nützt es euch, wenn ihr unschuldig in einen Unfall verwickelt seid? Der andere bekommt Strafpunkte oder Rennsperren, aber das ist kein direkter Vorteil für euch. Wenn man dagegen die gesamte Situation vermeidet, so kann man mit einem heilen Auto bis zum Ende fahren und so schließlich mehr Punkte holen. In der Offspring gibt es keine Punkte und keine Wertung, umso unwichtiger ist die Position. Lernt also gerade hier Unfälle zu vermeiden, egal ob als Auslöser oder nicht.
- Respekt vor den anderen Fahrern: Nicht versuchen mit der Brechstange zu Überholen. Wenn man nicht schnell genug ist um zu überholen oder der Vordermann keinen Platz macht: Dahinter bleiben! Alles andere führt zu einem Crash! Immer!
- Wird das eigene Auto am Heck stark beschädigt: Runter von der Strecke, ggf. den Tow-Truck rufen und reparieren lassen. Es nützt niemandem etwas, wenn ein Hindernis auf der Strecke rollt. Dem Fahrer in diesem Hindernis schon gar nicht.
- In einem Unfall verwickelt: Den Wagen auf eine sichere und vorhersehbare Spur bringen. Ist das nicht sofort abschätzbar: Vollbremsung, bis der Wagen vollständig steht!
- Nach einem Unfall: Warten, bis die Strecke so frei ist, dass man problemlos weiter fahren kann. Dabei aus dem Cockpit gucken und die Relative-Anzeige nutzen! Nichts ist schlimmer, als in den fahrenden Verkehr zu wenden.
- Nicht aufgeben: Wurde man doch in einem Crash verwickelt nicht gleich die Flinte ins Korn werfen. Die Rennen sind lang, wer weiß was noch passiert. Solange man sein Stockcar noch einigermaßen sicher um den Kurs bewegen kann weiterfahren!
- Ist das eigene Auto nur noch schwer zu kontrollieren: Rennen fairnesshalber verlassen!
- Cool bleiben: Wird man verschuldet oder unverschuldet in einen Crash verwickelt: Cool bleiben, es bringt nichts, wenn man jetzt versucht die Situation durch halsbrecherische Aufholjagden zu retten! Das geht in die Hose.
So, das sind die wichtigsten Punkte, die mir spontan einfallen. Jeder Fahrer musste diese Erfahrungen während vieler "Rennmeilen" machen (manchmal mehr, manchmal weniger schmerzlich). Keiner ist fehlerfrei, aber je eher man versucht es zu sein desto weniger Fehler wird man auch machen. Wer versucht diese Tipps zu beachten, kommt einem schnellen Aufstieg ein ganzes Stück näher. Sicher!

There are certain rules of conduct in the VO, some of which were not explicitly set out in the rulebook. These rules are rather general and should therefore be largely identical to all leagues.
Simple tips for clean races:
- Please read the VO rules carefully on our homepage!
- Pass clean: Only overtake if there is a clear situation and there is enough space for both drivers!
- No Kamikaze starts! : Don't try to overtake the whole field at once when starting or restarting! If the person in front is slow, the reason is that the field is slow to race or there is no space in front of him. It won't get any better if you push in there yourself.
- Watch the car in front: In a race it is not important to make up places in the first few laps. Patience! At some point the person in front makes a mistake or his tires break down, then it's time to overtake him cleanly!
- Respect for the other drivers: do not hold out against every overtaking maneuver. Maybe the man behind has better tires or is simply faster for another reason. Accept that and make room for him (especially in the uninteresting opening phase of a race!). Better to put it back once than not enough.
- Respect for the other drivers: accidents and dangerous situations just happen. Whoever gets loud afterwards and insults other drivers, however innocent, it never has a positive effect. Everyone should treat others as they should be treated themselves. If in doubt, swallow the frustration, wait a night and then think again. Disrespect is not tolerated in the VO.
What can you do better? Save the replay and have a quiet look at the scene again. Even if you are not to blame, you can learn how to avoid such situations and end the race without damage. If necessary, let someone else look over the scene and judge the incident as objectively as possible.
- Consider how you would be in other series: What use is it to you if you are innocently involved in an accident? The other gets penalty points or race bans, but that's not a direct benefit for you. If, on the other hand, you avoid the whole situation, you can drive to the end without damage and finally get more points. In the offspring there are no points and no rating, the less important the position. So learn to avoid accidents, whether as a trigger or not.
- Respect for the other drivers: do not try to overtake with the crowbar. If you are not fast enough to overtake or the person in front does not make room: stay behind! Everything else leads to a crash! Always!
- If your own car is badly damaged at the rear: get off the track, call the tow truck and have it repaired if necessary. There is no use to anyone if an obstacle rolls along the route. Certainly not for the driver in this obstacle.
- Involved in an accident: get the car on a safe and predictable line. If this cannot be estimated immediately: full braking until the car is completely at a standstill!
- After an accident: wait until the track is clear enough to continue driving without any problems. Look out of the cockpit and use the relative display! Nothing is worse than turning into moving traffic.
- Don't give up: if you were involved in a crash, don't throw the shotgun in the grain. The races are long, who knows what will happen. As long as you can move your stock car around the course reasonably safely!
- If your own car is very difficult to control: park the car to be fair!
- Stay cool: If you cause a crash or you are involved in a crash through no fault of your own: Stay cool, it doesn't help if you try to save the situation by breakneck chases! That goes wrong.
So, these are the most important points that come to mind spontaneously. Every driver had to experience this during many "race miles" (sometimes more, sometimes less painful). Nobody is perfects, but the sooner you try to be the less mistakes you will make. If you try to follow these tips, you will get a lot closer to a quick advance into the real series. For sure!

Hay ciertas reglas de conducta en la VO, algunas de las cuales no estaban explícitamente reflejadas en el Reglamento. Estas reglas son bastante generales y son idénticas a todas las ligas.
Sencillos consejos para carreras limpias:
- Por favor, lo primero, ¡lee detenidamente las reglas de la VO que figuran en nuestra web!
- Pasa de forma limpia: Adelanta solo si hay una situación clara y hay bastante espacio entre ambos coches.
- ¡No seas kamikaze en los arranques!: No intentes adelantar a todo el mundo nada más lanzar (start) o relanzar (restart) la carrera. Si el conductor de delante va lento, es posible que sea porque el resto del grupo va despacio o no tiene espacio delante. La cosa no mejorará si le empujas o presionas.
- Ve atento al coche de delante: En una carrera, las posiciones de las primeras vueltas no son tan importantes. ¡Paciencia! En algún momento el coche de delante puede cometer un error, tener una avería o sus neumáticos venirse abajo y será tu oportunidad de adelantar de forma limpia.
- Respeta a los demás pilotos: No impidas cada adelantamiento. Quizás quien te quiere adelantar tiene mejores ruedas o es simplemente más rápido que tú por cualquier otro motivo. Acéptalo y déjale espacio (¡sobre todo si la carrera solo está empezando!).
- Respeta a los demás pilotos: Los accidentes y situaciones peligrosas son cosas que pasan. No hay necesidad de insultar, aunque sea sin mala intención, pues no aporta nada positivo. Trata a los demás como te gustaría que te trataran. Mejor, muérdete la lengua, consúltalo con la almohada y vuelve al día siguiente. En la VO no se consienten faltas de respeto.
- ¿Cómo puedes mejorar? Guárdate la repetición de la carrera y mira qué ha pasado con tranquilidad. Incluso si no tienes tú la culpa, puedes aprender a evitar este tipo de situaciones y acabar la próxima carrera sin incidentes. Si fuera necesario, enséñaselo a otra persona para que vea el incidente desde un punto de vista más objetivo.
- Considera qué hubiera pasado en otra situación. ¿Qué ocurre si te ves envuelto en un accidente del que no tienes culpa? El otro conductor será penalizado o suspendido, pero eso a ti no te beneficia directamente. Si, por el contrario, evitas el incidente y terminas la carrera sin daños, conseguirás más puntos. En el Observatorio (Offspring) no hay puntos, ni clasificaciones y la posición es lo menos importante, así que aprende a evitar accidentes, seas el culpable o no.
- Respeta a los demás pilotos: No intentes adelantar con la palanca de cambio (reduciendo velocidad). Si no eres lo suficientemente rápido para adelantar al de delante o ese conductor no te deja espacio: ¡quédate detrás! Ese tipo de maniobras casi siempre suelen terminar en accidente.
- Si tu coche está muy dañado en la parte trasera: Sal de la pista, llama a la grúa y repara el coche si es posible. A nadie le viene bien que haya un obstáculo dentro de la pista.
- Si te ves envuelto en un accidente: Circula con precaución por una línea segura y predecible. Si no lo ves claro, frena por completo hasta detener el coche.
- Después de un accidente: Espera hasta que la pista esté despejada para continuar conduciendo sin problemas. Mira fuera de la cabina y usa la pantalla de Relativos de la Black Box (relative display) para asegurarte de que no viene nadie. No hay nada peor que incorporarse a la pista cuando vienen coches.
- No te rindas: Si te ves envuelto en un accidente, no tires la toalla. Las carreras son largas y nunca se sabe qué puede pasar. Mientras tu coche esté en buenas condiciones para seguir en carrera, ¡adelante! ¡Sigue! ¡Lucha!
- Si no puedes controlar el coche: Estaciónalo en un lugar seguro, es lo más razonable.
- Mantén la calma: Si provocas un accidente o te ves envuelto en uno, aunque no sea tu culpa, mantén la calma. No sirve de nada salir a toda pastilla de allí. Es un error.
Estos son algunos consejos que se nos ocurren a raíz de nuestras experiencias como conductores y tras tantos kilómetros recorridos (muchos de ellos, dolorosos). Nadie es perfecto, pero cuanto más lo intentes, menos errores cometerás. Desde luego, si sigues estos consejos, seguro que haces avances de forma más rápida.
