I try to answer as objectively as possible and without sounding sarcastic. I know some of this posts are pure politics.
It surprises me that it has taken this long for it to be "clear" what is required for the merge.
Is that on purpose, so people cannot try and be smart about it, or is that just because the calls are being made very late?
Before the season started we already told what is going to happen:
In the News on 2nd February:
Active drivers with a sufficiently good FPI would then be given the opportunity to compete in Class A Pro for the remaining races.
What did you expect?
Calling someone active with less than half of the races?
Or is a good FPI something above 1.0?
---
If we are talking about FPI, it was always the overall FPI as it is more meaningful.

---
For example, had I registered for Class A this season, I wouldn't have been eligible for the Pro since I didn't run A last season. Now, if I ran less than six races this season, I would not be allowed to switch to the Pro once the non-Pro season ends despite my FPI being 0.03.
New driver and recurring driver is the topic, that hurts us the most. Yes, they fall down behind. But we can't allow new driver, who maybe wreck the whole grid, without allowing driver with a bad FPI. That doesn't make sense.
And as I already wrote, some driver don't want to meet everyone in a Pro Race.

Some posts sound like it is the end of the world here. There was a season for everybody. It lasted 12 races and is over now. There will be a new season after the holiday break, where everybody can participate again. If there are enough driver there will be two full grids the whole time, if not we need to find (maybe better?) ways to work agains shrinking participation. For now we think this is a "okay" way to work against that.

On last personal note, I forbid the insinuation that we were not "gründlich" (Is that used in english
?).
Even this post probably costed me more time, than some (not pointing at you Erik) people ever invested in unpaid volunteer work.
We had many discussions about that topic.
