I’m really lucky to finish in the top 10 . Again SSW-racing once
more showed how critical pit cycles can be. On the 2nd g/f
stop on lap 105 our group of cars lost the pack. Luckily we had Nigel
among us, who drove his guts out and pushed the Chicken-Boo like
crazy , so we managed to hold the gap, till the final yellow stacked
up most of the field again.
In the
last couple of laps I was luck to escape with train of 7 cars. Quite
shocked with the next Gens aeromodel, as Jose closed the gap on the
backstraight my car got sucked over to the right . First thought: Jose
races me so close to get most of the sidedraft and hit me. As i
watched the replay after the race I saw that there was still some gap
between us as the Boo suddenly moved to the outside . Sorry for
causing some trouble at the end. Believe me it was not my intention
to throw a block on the last lap after I kept my nose clean for
200 laps, especially considering that I did not steer to the right,
....but never the less I recommend to protest this, because that killed
all your momentum guys .
Till we race the NextGen car this strange
magnetic behavior befell me on three occasions so far . ..after
checking some other strange on track actions I assume that Roland
could have had the same effect .
Anyway,
I am glad that Nigel made his way to the top five, considering how
his race went the #26 deserved this race’s hard charger award .
Congrats
to Dani, great recovery dude.
