Manuel Lange, I’m sorry about that contact — I lost my reference point and ended up hitting you. It was completely my fault. No excuses.

Daniel Adam, I’m really sorry about that touch between the two of us, but there was no more space for either you or me.

I’ve had a few races now where I only feel good at the race start; on the restarts I forget to take it easy like you should during the first laps of a stint. I know the pace is there, but it’s hard for me to bring it out. I mess up by missing the apexes, braking earlier than I should or later than needed… but well, it’s understandable after being inactive for so long.

Exactly, I don't agree with all the rules either, but I understand that they are necessary for the smooth running of the championship; in the end, it's about adapting to them. On the other hand, some rules need to cover multiple situations, because in a championship, it would be unfeasible to have 100 different rules. Even with so many rules, there would still be situations not covered in the regulations, and, moreover, the officials would be overwhelmed.

Too many fast people who still don’t know how to interpret the rules.
Please learn this point of the regulations, which is made so that there are fewer accidents and the races don’t end up like typical official ones—“jungles.”
If you’re not alongside, you have no right to overtake and you must abort the overtake.
“Guys, it was hard for me to understand it too, just like for you. I learned by causing yellow flags, and I also thought I wasn’t doing anything wrong.”

BrunoLeDoare In this case, Daniel had every right to close the racing line and go down to the apron. It’s not unpredictable, because the car behind must know that he can make that move, and if there’s an accident, the one at fault is the car attempting the overtake without being alongside.

If the yellow flag came out because of me while the car was parked on the apron, I'm sorry for everyone. But the frustration of having to repair the car under every yellow flag with 3 minutes of required repairs, and only being able to fix 10–15 seconds, then going out and also getting a black flag because of cars that are stopped in the middle of the track, seems unfair to me.

At all times it told me to follow driver No. 27. If they changed the sign and I wasn’t supposed to pass those STOPPED cars right when the race was about to restart, I’m sorry, but I can’t keep track of everything in such a short time. And mind you, I’m a veteran and I’m usually aware of everything...

I can’t remember the last time I was involved in three yellow flags in the VO, haha. Between the bad quali and still not feeling comfortable after spending three months without using the simulator, it’s clear I’m not getting the best out of myself right now.

Rafa, don’t worry—just like I told Jonas, there’s no problem. We all make mistakes.

But I’m starting to get a bit tired of the divebombs. You know I don’t usually report anyone unless it’s something serious, but in the last few races I’ve had people throwing it down the inside without being alongside. Having a different strategy or fresher tyres doesn’t give you the right to force the inside line when there’s no space.

It’s so much easier to open up the entry a bit, set up the car, and make the switchback in the middle of the corner; you’ll be overtaking cleanly on the exit.

After three months without touching the simulator, I signed up for the race even though I had a fever xD. I only lasted about 98 laps, I think. Halfway through the stint I started sweating and feeling the fever heat — I couldn’t stay 100% focused and kept making mistakes... Just a few laps before my pit stop, the car lost the rear, and all I could do was correct it enough to hit the wall sideways and avoid bringing out a yellow flag.:D

Regarding the tire issue that Gabriel mentioned, I don’t agree.
It’s true that on some tracks I would add an extra set of tires to allow for different strategies, but that would only be on very few circuits.
From my point of view, the fun part of this championship is having long stints, and if there’s an early yellow flag, you have to make a decision… one that could affect your entire race, for better or worse.
On the other hand, I think that with the number of laps per tire that the organization usually sets, no one should have any trouble completing them — except on certain critical tracks like Phoenix, for example.

Your bad faith is blatant. You made an illegal pass without slowing down, then tried to force your way back onto the track, with no regard for others—a maneuver that clearly could have caused a yellow flag. And now you're playing the victim by insinuating that I insulted you? Well, yes, I called you an idiot — and I stand by it. It's been years since I've seen such a stupid and irresponsible move. I'm not here to teach you the rules of NASCAR: review the footage and work on your reflexes.

First of all, if you ever feel you’ve been wronged in any situation, there’s a section where you can file a complaint to the organization.
Second, you should review the replay more carefully and ask yourself why he did what he did (during a restart there’s an accordion effect — what’s wrong with that?). A bit of empathy toward the other drivers and, above all, respect.
Third, you should actually be thankful instead of continuing to complain, since section 8.3 of the regulations allows him to report you. He has screenshots both from inside the simulator and showing that you stayed outside even after he ignored you.

I’m not here to teach you the championship rules either, but I am here to give you a hand if you need it.

I think that if they were from Mars, they would have arrived already! xD
Chinese products are cheap but the technical support is garbage… You learn from everything in life, the first and the last...

About the whole “they didn’t have tires” thing — of course there were people who did have them, but they were going to end up in the same situation as Jacuk. What we were sure about is that there were a lot of people who had already used up all their tires, besides those who could get left out like in your case. We thought that 1st position was worth more than going into the pits… In the end, it’s a coin toss… it’s NASCAR.

    Hello, good morning.
I wanted to let you know that I won’t be able to take part in the upcoming races because the hydraulic system of my brake pedal has broken. I’m currently waiting for a response from the technical support team.

At Darlington, I already raced with only 30% of the pedal travel and it didn’t feel good at all: I didn’t have full control of the car and I don’t want to put anyone at risk on track.

In the meantime, I’ll try to get some replacement pedals, but if I don’t feel comfortable with them, I won’t race until the issue is fully resolved. :(

Bad quali, I started from the back and climbed up little by little with a lot of patience. I was behind Erik for quite a few laps waiting for him to overtake, but they were making it tough for him. I took advantage and passed him after a mistake. I went side by side with @Nickolay Sivokho as the rules say in order to overtake, I went in hard at T1 moving up my car because he was stuck to the wall and I had the clear. To my surprise, he stuck his nose in at T2 and destroyed my race.

Thanks a lot for the apology never given… irony.

I saw a lot of people struggling with the setup, just like Erik says, and when the car is like that is when I enjoy the simulator the most. I know that in 5th gear I could save tires while losing a few tenths, but the feeling of coming out of corners in 4th gear without sliding, and especially playing with the rear tire temperature for my driving style, is perfect.

Jeroen, those 10 laps of difference plus what you mentioned allowed me to overtake you; otherwise, on this track it’s practically impossible. Also, I think the fastest one didn’t win today—in my opinion that was Jonas—but that’s NASCAR.

About the incidents, I saw in the replay that there are still many “new” people who don’t respect rule 4.4

It’s not about blaming you or not — I know you’re a clean and respectful driver on track, and I understand accidents; they’re part of racing. I also have accidents that are my fault, I make mistakes too.

But I think that this kind of move, with so many laps down, should be penalized heavily so that drivers understand that if they ruin someone else’s race in a situation like this, they’re going to pay for it — and not just with championship points. Maybe I’m wrong, and I’m the only one who thinks this way.

And I repeat, this is nothing against you personally, but against the move itself — which I’m not even going to report…
