Ich wusste, dass ich heute gut zurecht komme.
Erster Stint wollte ich nur vorne mit schwimmen. Hat geklappt bis vor mir Trouble ist und ich zwischen bremsen und nach innen ziehen wählen konnte.
Dann war ich innen und außerhalb des Trains. Richtiger Blackout dann, dachte es ist clear und ziehe rein, Manuel war aber da. Sorry!
Jakubs Rennen hat es dann sogar beendet.
Bin dann spät pitten gegangen und in der Meute rausgekommen. Vorbeikommen war schwierig...
Gabi ist dann vor mir loose geworden und ich bin in die Wand ausgewichen. Ab da wars gelaufen. Damage und offpace. War dann vielleicht etwas Gerechtigkeit.
Platz 9 ist da noch glücklich.
Aber der Unfall hinterlässt eh ein ungutes Gefühl heute Abend.

War jetzt in dem Sinne keine Schuldzuweisung. Du wurdest loose, ich wollte den Schwung mitnehmen und hab leicht die Lenkung aufgemacht und dabei wurde es dann tight neben dir. Hätte ich auch cleverer Lösen können.

I was not expecting the have some sort of pace here.
So surprised with P2 in qually, and eventually P7 in race. The P7 feels like best I could do for pace.
For once a track where I don't burn off the right front, but the right rear. There is probably a lesson in there somewhere.
I fFeel like Roland gave away the win by staying out a bit too long. Tho you never know what Carsten has in reserve

I was looking forward to this race as a defending winner from the last season here. I run my own program in the practice. I want to be prepared for the long runs in the race. Struggled a little bit with one lap pace. In the qualifying, I did good lap and started the race from the third place.
In the first laps, I lost some positions, because on the outside was more momentum. I decided to save tires for later in the stint. But then I was in the wrong time in the wrong place and my race was finished. Too much damage so I need to came to the pit road for repairs. After that I came back on the track and test some things for the next race here.

Good race, good fights, Pocono never disappoints. Concentration failure in the last Stint cost me to fight and get the times. Even so a p3 that doesn't taste bad to me, I was annoyed with a lapped car that didn't know how to split in the right place and Roland and I lost precious time before the pit stop.

Hab momentan einen Lauf in der VO. Daytona abgeräumt worden, Auto Club abgeräumt worden und heute oversteer aus T3 und in die Boxenmauer rein 40 Minuten Req. und 3 Minuten opt. Repair.
Mal sehen wann ich diese Saison mal ins Ziel komme ohne 2 stellige Runden Rückstand.

Relativ ereignisloses Rennen, hat trotzdem Spaß gemacht. Besonders das Duell gegen Jalberillo im letzten Drittel.

Kurz zu meinem Rennen:
Ich bin nicht der Pocono Fan. Komme hier nicht wirklich zurecht.
Mit der Pole habe ich nicht gerechnet. Da ich quer aus T3 kam. Umso mehr hatte es mich gefreut.
Ich wusste, man muss höllisch auf die hinteren Reifen achten, also habe ich aus T1 und T3 maximal 60-70% Gas gegeben. Dennoch wurde T3 irgendwann im exit so loose das ich immer extrem Momentum verlor auf der geraden, irgendwann sind dann Roland und Jose vorbei.
Roland hatte eine Mega pace und grad dein Turn 3 (kein Plan was ich da falsch mache
), ich war mir sicher er holt den Sieg heute. Aber Carsten hat uns wieder mal eines besseren belehrt. Keine Ahnung wie er im letzten Stint so ein Vorsprung haben konnte. Richtig stark.Ich steckte bisschen im Traffic und musste dann schauen das ich die frischeren Reifen gegenüber den Rest nutzen kann und konnte so noch von P7 auf P4 vorfahren.

Mein Rennen war eher Ereignisreich. 😅
Quali war besser als erwartet. P6 war akzeptabel und ein guter Grundstein um mitzuschwimmen. Bis Runde 14 lief es auch super. Dann war Frank leider unaufmerksam und hatte mich fast gedreht. Ich konnte das Auto noch einfangen. Leittragender der Aktion war leider Jacub, der erheblich schaden erlitt. Ich selbst hatte 1:20 optional. Ab da war es ein Kampf mit stumpfen Waffen, weil kein Yellow kam um abzureparieren. Auf Kosten der Reifen konnte ich mit Mühe den Draft nutzen und war in vielen super Zweikämpfen verwickelt um P10 rum. Trotz des Schadens hatte ich wirklich Spaß und hatte richtig schöne Fights. Das Ereignis ist am Ende zwar enttäuschend, aber muss ich so hinnehmen. Gratulation an Carsten und das Podium.
